The Hangry Truth: How Your Diet Dictates Your Emotional Stability! | Laura Bird

Laura Bird, a relationship and dating coach from Sydney, shares her dramatic health transformation from veganism to carnivore diet after six years of deteriorating health. Originally raised vegetarian, Bird experienced severe symptoms including chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, joint pain, and a persistent internal voice telling her she was going to die. Her friend's recommendation led her to discover Dr. Anthony Chaffee's work and make the dietary switch that would completely change her life.

Within two weeks of adopting a meat-only approach, Bird experienced remarkable changes including spontaneous desire to exercise, running 40 minutes non-stop after five years of inactivity, and complete elimination of mental fog and negative internal dialogue. Her extensive symptom list - including eczema, psoriasis, joint stiffness, hair loss, and chronic exhaustion - resolved systematically. The transformation was so profound that she could sleep deeply, wake refreshed, and maintain energy throughout the day without the afternoon crashes she'd experienced for years.

The conversation explores how nutritional deficiency from plant-based eating creates not just physical symptoms but psychological ones, including anxiety, depression, and addictive behaviors toward food and other substances. Bird describes how proper nourishment eliminated her need for constant spiritual practices like meditation and breathwork that she'd previously used to cope with her compromised mental state. Dr. Anthony Chaffee discusses the historical use of grain-based diets to control populations, referencing examples from ancient Rome to modern totalitarian regimes.

Bird's work as a relationship coach has evolved to incorporate nutritional guidance, as she's observed that properly nourished women become naturally more peaceful and less emotionally reactive with their partners. The discussion emphasizes how metabolic healing through carnivore eating creates mental clarity, emotional stability, and physical vitality that allows people to show up authentically in their relationships and life purpose without needing constant coping mechanisms.

Key Takeaways

  • Complete elimination of over 15 chronic symptoms including joint pain, eczema, psoriasis, chronic fatigue, and depression occurred within the first month of switching from vegan to carnivore diet
  • Exercise capacity returned spontaneously after two weeks - running 40 minutes non-stop without soreness after five years of being unable to exercise due to fatigue and joint pain
  • Mental fog and negative internal dialogue completely disappeared, replaced by natural calm and mental clarity without need for meditation or breathwork practices previously used for emotional regulation
  • Sleep quality dramatically improved with natural 10pm bedtime and deep, restorative sleep lasting through the night without the chronic insomnia experienced on plant-based diet
  • Iron levels normalized naturally through meat consumption after years of unsuccessful supplementation while vegan, eliminating chronic anemia and breathlessness
  • Relationship dynamics improved as proper nourishment eliminated emotional reactivity and constant need for attention, creating natural feminine peace that men respond positively to
  • Historical pattern shows ruling classes throughout history restricted meat access to common people while consuming it themselves, using grain-based diets to maintain control over populations
  • Food cravings and addictive behaviors toward sugar disappeared as the body achieved true satiation, eliminating the constant hunger and seeking behaviors that drive overconsumption

but I remember after about 2 weeks I woke up one day and I was like I've got to run I've got to go I've got to go do something I have to run I had so much energy I was like I've got to do something and and I haven't run for like 5 years and I just put my clothes on and I put my trainers on I had a small cup of coffee I do I do love coffee with cream I didn't eat anything I drank that went for a 10-minute walk and then I ran for 40 minutes Non-Stop completely fine yeah and I was like what's happening I just did that you know I just did that not only did I do it my mind was okay cuz it's the mind that talks you out of it like we don't want to do this this is boring I want to go home but that the voices didn't come up in my mind to say let's stop running let's go do something else I could just keep going so it wasn't just the fact that my body was like let's go it was the fact that my mind was completely on board with that I think when you have a lot of excess energy because of what you're eating you naturally want to exercise and it it shouldn't have to be oh I better go to the gym otherwise I'm not going to feel good otherwise I'm going to have a bad day it's more like it's not a forced thing it's a natural um desire to move your body and that's how I think ex exercise should be cuz there's only so long we can force ourselves into doing something that we don't really want to do welcome to the plantree MD podcast with Dr Anthony chaffy where we discuss diet and nutrition and and how this affects health and chronic disease and show you how you can use this to optimize your health and happiness both mentally and physically hello everyone thank you for joining another episode of the planfree MD I am your host Dr Anthony chaffy and today I have a very special guest Miss Laura bird who is joining me all the way from Sydney so Laura thank you so much for joining thank you thank you for having me oh you're very welcome so for people who haven't come across you or um across your work can you please tell us a bit about yourself yes so I'm a relationship and dating coach and I've been doing you know work in that area for a while now I've been doing sort of self-help and self-healing for about eight years and uh I basically work with couples or you know sometimes I work with people individually um if they want to sort of start moving their relationship forward or fixing their relationships kind of work with them to look deeper in themselves look deeper at who they are as men and women and uh I'm a big advocate for women being in their feminine relaxing softening into feminine energy and men being masculine and um you know being more assertive and driven and intentful which uh you know switching to the lifestyle that I am on now with this food actually really helps serve that message which has been great and very unexpected oh very good so you know to that end you know you recently came came across the carnivore diet and tried it out for yourself how did that how did that come about how did you come across it yourself well luckily I had a friend who was doing this diet for quite a few months and she recommended it to me because um I was I mean I was raised vegetarian so I didn't eat meat until I was 15 and I probably ate meat for about 10 years and then I went vegan and I was vegan for about 6 years and oh my goodness I was so unwell and it just was getting worse and worse and worse and it's such a mind trip because you're being told like you're being brainwashed and being told this is the healthiest diet this is this is you know there's nothing else that's healthier for you and yet I was weak I was tired I was my mind was like it wasn't my own mind my thoughts weren't my own thoughts and it got really scary like I I would actually for the last 6 months of being vegan I thought I was there was a voice in me that was like you're going to die like your heart's just going to stop and you're going to die and you actually get used to that voice you don't even realize that that's a voice in your head until it's not there um so I was just I could never get my iron levels up I didn't want to have to take supplements and even when I did they didn't make that much difference you know I didn't have a healthy lifestyle I couldn't exercise I couldn't even walk up the stairs without being so out of breath and you know I was depressed and I was anxious and I was scared of everything and I just hit rock bottom and I and I messaged a friend of mine in America and I told her how I was feeling and you know she was vegan and raw vegan for a while as well and she said to me well do you know Anthony chaffy do you know kenberry and I'm like no like enlighten me um who are these gentlemen and she said well I went from vegan to Carnival she said and all my health like my health started to get better my thyroid started to get better I started to get my energy back she said maybe you should look into it and you know when you just kind of know like something in me said oh God please anything I'll do anything I'm desperate I don't care vegan mins everything out the window when you're that desperate and uh and so that's what I started to do I started to bring meat back into my diet bring uh I I'd never eaten akake in my life so I didn't know what I was doing um but I cooked one and I ate it and my whole body just went thank you so much thank you like the nourishment you can feel it go through your veins and I felt it in my bones I was just like oh my God this is life and so I started doing that I started having steaks for breakfast steaks for for um dinner salmon and and lo and eggs getting eggs in and um I didn't do Carnival for very long then I think I did it for about um maybe a couple of weeks and then I was like well I should eat vegetables right I mean that's what they tell us I should read the voice is like yeah but Laura you can't just eat meat and butter like you have to have broccoli and you got to get you know spinach and you know all this stuff and so I started adding that back in and then you know eczema psoriasis anxiety all these things just came back and so 4 months ago I I just thought you know what I'm sick of being sick I don't want this anymore I have my energy back my iron levels are fine but um but there's something in me that's not okay there it's difficult to explain it but there's like a cloud and we're so used to it and so I thought you know I'm just going to try Carnival yeah and I it's just been the easiest it just feels like such a relief to be eating this way it really does yeah that's amazing it's it's wonderful to see people like yourself and like your friend who have come from plant-based diet veganism vegetarianism and and then be open-minded enough to sort of Switch and Go like oh this goes against everything I've always been told however things aren't working the way that I've always been told and so maybe try something else and then getting you know drastic improvements in their health which is which is great because the detractors especially the plant-based detractors they say well the only people that are improving when they go to a carnivore diet are the ones that are converting from like the standard you know process food diet eating a bunch of junk food and things like that and I I keep telling it's like no actually it's it's people they're plant-based they're following your advice and doing everything right and it's hurting them because it's a bad diet it's not it's not nutritious and it has harmful substances in it that aren't good for you yeah yeah well when my first when my friend first said to me you know vegetables are poisonous I was like what yeah yeah wait what you know your brain because we're told like I always say to people go against what you're being told in society and you'll be healthy and well so if they say Don't eat red meat you probably need that every day and if they say eat vegetables you probably don't really need to eat them you know I I always kind of think just go against what they're telling you and then you're a win you're going to win so yeah when I first heard that I was like that can't be right but then when I started looking into what you were saying and what other um people in your field were saying I was like oh that actually kind of makes sense because whenever I eat them I don't feel well you know my stomach would blow and I'd feel heavy and I'll be I'd feel tired and you know and I don't want them anyway I don't want them there's no part of my body that's like yes carrots like yes spinach let's get you know it's more just like okay I better be a good girl and do what I'm told rather than what my body's asking for because my body was asking for steak my body was asking for fish and Amigos uh it wasn't asking for vegetables it was saying please I don't you know when I was vegan I barely ate anything because they put these I mean here in Australia it's actually very I'd say vegetarian based veg vegetarian based um and and they put these budha bows in front of you with all this cabbage and spinach and quinoa and I'm like there's people around me eating it and I think how are you excited about that like what I used to think there's something wrong with me cuz everyone there is like oh yeah this is so good like really am I broken because I'm like I don't want this I don't want this at all like there's nothing in me that's like yes so I do feel like we have it in us like it's very important to listen to to what your body is asking for and my body was asking for me most of my vegan years I just ignored it yeah yeah well I'm glad that you you talked to your friend and and came around um so that that sort of raises the question what are some of the health issue well you know as much as you'd like to share some of the health issues that you H were going through that uh how did they how did they change or come around or maybe some are still persisting since you've gone carnivore I actually have a list on my phone I don't know if I actually still have it but when I first started to when I changed it I went read them all out because it's quite a long list but um it was oh yeah symtoms this is can you I don't know if you can see this on the camera you can see there we go oh yeah there it is yeah it's a long list yeah yeah so it was no appetite um achy joints stiff joints in ankles hair falling out um itchy skin I'd feel like bugs were on my skin that that happened when I was vegan um cicis in my ears uh acne around my jaw acne on my forehead consistently thirsty pins and needles in my hips I'd wake up and I wouldn't be able to feel my hips um exhaustion depression consistent sore throat nausea weak elbows inflammation in my calves this has all gone down actually I haven't looked at this list since I started so this is interesting yeah my achy joints that's gone there's no there's no achiness hips haven't gone numb that was a really odd thing psorasis has gone down right it's just not flaking as much um I haven't had the bug thing I used to feel like there was something crawling on me like there was literally something in my skin yeah creepy it's weird creepy good work yeah it was it was lit like creepy crawly in me um yeah and all my acne went yeah so I literally had acne all here and I had literally you could feel my forehead and it was like sandpaper it was like bumps all through here for years and years and years and it's just completely gone it's just smooth now so my my yeah my joints don't ache anymore I used to better not hold my phone because yeah like if you do this and it's kind of slightly pulling on the joints that would actually cause pain and and I'd have to hold my phone like this and type and I'm on my phone a lot with my work so that's gone yeah yeah the pins and needles has gone the the inflammation in the joints is gone I'm sleeping like a rock star I'll literally the lights go out at 10: and I'm out like no one nothing can wake me up and normally I'd be quite alert but I'm out and I wake up like wow I've you know you can feel it like I've been asleep I've really SLE and that changes your mind as well your mindset when you've had a good night's sleep and um yeah the Itchy Skin's gone down the psoriasis has gone down the eem has gone down it doesn't flake like it used to um and my it's my mind the mind is the big is the my mind is the biggest change mhm because although I feel like I've got my body back I've got my strength back my mind is back and I can exercise again and exercise is such a weird one cuz again what society says well you better get to the gym you better go for a run you better go to that yoga class otherwise you're a failure and no one's going to like you like these are literally the voices that we have in our head and I couldn't exercise I didn't have the energy to exercise and I didn't have the energy to argue with myself to make myself exercise so I just didn't like I lost all appetite for exercise and after the first two weeks I was exhausted the key the flu I was literally like like I can't move I can't do anything luckily I worked for myself so I could just you know make my own schedule but I remember after about two weeks I woke up one day and I was like I've got to run I've got to go I've got to go do something I have to run I had so much energy I was like I've got to do something and and I haven't run for like 5 years and I just put my clothes on and I put my trainers on I had a small cup of coffee I do I do love coffee with cream I didn't eat anything I drank that went for a 10-minute walk and then I ran for 40 minutes non-stop completely fine yeah and I was like what's happening I just did that you know I just did that not only did I do it I my mind was okay cuz it's the mind that talks you out of it like we don't want to do this this is boring I want to go home um but that the voices didn't come up in my mind to say let's stop running let's go do something else I could just keep going so it wasn't just the fact that my body was like let's go it was the fact that my mind was completely on board with that and I think when you have a lot of excess energy because of what you're eating you naturally want to exercise and it it shouldn't have to be oh I better go to the gym otherwise I'm not going to feel good otherwise I'm going to have a bad day it's more like um it's not a forced thing it's a natural um desire to move your body and that's how I think ex exercise should be cuz there's only so long we can force ourselves into doing something that we don't really want to do so when it's a natural byproduct of all the energy you've got you know I was shocked I couldn't believe it I was like Wow and I didn't have any achy joints the next day I woke up and I was like oh no Laura are you going to be able to get out of bed is everything going to be like tense and sore no achiness like nothing I was shocked M nothing so I was like my body's recovering it it was okay and it's such a um this is how the human body should be working MH yeah absolutely I I think that's one of the things that that upsets the most people uh online I of all the things when I tell them that I don't get sore after working out anymore that it some people just get incensed they're like that's you get sore you know they just get so mad and it's like no no you really don't like that's a weird one to just make up especially because it's it's so easy to just you know call on because people just say hey look I've been doing this for 5 months and I'm sore as hell like this nothing has changed you that's an easy one to uh to disqualify but it's true and and when people do it they just stop eating plants for a couple weeks usually about two weeks then no soreness no soreness after they work you can injure yourself but just that that soreness that next day soreness the two days soreness sort of thing just doesn't show up yeah it's amazing and you know and and as you said you know you hadn't run in a long time so this was like your first run out you went for like a big run like 40 minutes is not a quick run like a jog around the block that's a long run especially if you haven't been doing anything in a long time and to not be sore afterwards is you know is is well it just doesn't happen really any eating any other way no I was I was waiting for it I was like well maybe I'll get some Doms maybe we'll give it a few days and then nothing happened yeah nothing happened and I did yoga um I'm doing my yoga training so I ended up doing I ran on the Thursday the Friday Saturday Sunday I did three every morning I did a 90-minute heated yoga class and then we did yoga in the afternoon to help each other practice no soreness whatsoever and I could just keep doing it and everyone else was around me was like oh I'm tired I'm tired I'm like yeah I'm not yeah like it was just when you compare that's the difference if you're in your own world I'm an introvert and I'm a bit of a loner I like just to be on my own but when you compare yourself to other people and you're around other people and you notice them complaining about being unwell or being tired after a workout you know that's when you really realize I don't have these symptoms this is not happening to me you don't realize it when you're on your own you got to get out there and talk to people and then you see the difference you know yeah definitely so so like you were saying didn't have that those negative voices in your head as well did did this help your mental health overall as well yes and this is probably one of the biggest things because you know like I said I was raised vegetarian so when I was like 13 14 I always had anxiety and panic attacks and everything and looking back it was probably because I wasn't eating that you know eating meat because when I started eating meat at 15 it went away it subsided and I didn't click on the connection there so having meet again well first of all your mind is satiated your brain satiated I'm pretty sure you'll have to tell me but that's what it feels like you're nourished your cells are nourished your body's nourished and I didn't realize that there was a voice in the back of my mind saying like you're not good enough you're never going to mount to anything you can't do this you know when I started eating meat and just cutting out the plants all of that went away and it was literally like silence and I there was a time where I was like what I don't I didn't recognize it I was like what's happening I didn't realize there was so much loud chatter in my mind in my head until it was gone and there was no longer this voice saying you can't do that so you know when I did my yoga training for example and everyone's complaining that they're tired there wasn't a voice in me that was joining in even with that there wasn't a voice when I was running saying oh can we stop that just wasn't there it's so odd because it's like well what else do we do now there's so much there's so many other things we can do now because that space is clear and suddenly these desires to have things own things buy things consume things it that goes away because I'm I'm pretty convinced that you know the desire for I mean look I love clothes and shoes my backgrounds in fashion I can't take that away from this who I am but in general like this desire for more mhm I think it's just because we're [Music] hungry my friend and I we say all the time like oh I'm having a bad morning I must just be hungry let me get eat some fat and some butter and some steak and I'll we good um you know this even when I do my work with my relationship coaching you know a woman's desire to be seen and heard by a man or his desire for her like all these different things that are actually unhealthy in the relationship if they're nourished these things go away I'm telling you they go suddenly she doesn't need his attention 24/7 which he can't give her anyway so it's like well go eat a steak and then see how you feel maybe you won't need his attention as much because no one can give you 24 hours of attention and for him all these things that he thinks that he needs in order to be a man again it starts to subside there's a there's a confidence that comes out in in the man and the woman and the woman her energy just softens you know cuz I teach a lot about women being peaceful men are asking for peace they're not asking for emotional women right they're not I don't know any man that's like yes give me a woman that's really overly emotional right that I don't know any men like that never coached a man that's asking for that so they're asking for peace because peace is a woman's natural state of being and when she goes to this lifestyle the peace comes out there just peace it's like I'm not going to argue with you I'm not hungry maybe from hungry I might and then I'll be like oh I need to go eat just excuse me a moment let me go cook something but in general there's just peace the mind is peaceful and I genuinely believe that if if everyone was eating this way and was satiated and nourished I think couples would get on better I think people would feel better in their own selves and we wouldn't have so much gluttony and greed and all this sort of consumerism would just sort of die away cuz cuz when you're not nourished you're going to have addictions you're trying to feed and you you need something absolutely you do need something but it's not a cigarette and it's not another woman and it's not you know that relationship it's your body's hungry it needs nourishing and if it's nourished then think about what you want then ask yourself what you need because it's probably very different to what you thought you needed all these things you thought you needed no you were just hungry that's it yeah that's fine that's funny well I mean I think I think you're you're definitely on to something there because when you're when you're not nourished and your body is is lack well a lacking nutrients but also just not working properly you're disrupting your hormones and your brain chemistry and all these different sorts of ways your body knows something's wrong and your body's telling you these these subtle signals which we don't really necessarily know what the hell they mean we just know something's wrong as we get agitated we get upset and little things can bother us and we end up starting to try to seek other sorts of things to fill those gaps as well and and sometimes all you needed was just to to sort those things out to get rid of these sort of unhealthy exposures and uh you know just to get you know good food in you and as you say just just eat something and um and sometimes that goes away I've certainly noticed that myself I'm much more calm um and uh I don't I don't get bothered by things you when I you know I it was very the biggest contrast that I saw in myself was my my first year as an intern uh you know decade ago I was working 100 120 hour weeks my longest hour week was like 124 hours and uh it was hell it was absolute hell on Earth and I was on call basically every other night I was just doing 24-hour shifts and then i' get sort of the day off and I do another 24-hour shift I did that for for three months in a row and uh sometimes I didn't go home the next day sometimes I I had to just and it was busy it was so busy like you just you were lucky to catch a nap and that was it and generally you you started going to sleep 15 minutes and your beeper going again you're just back at it just doing more more grunt work and it was awful I absolutely hated it I just was just like nope nope this is awful and now I'm working similar hours uh with on calls that are not as regular but they're uh just as busy if but with more more mentally and uh demanding things and things that that can cause a lot more stress because it's you're making much more life and death situations you know at that at that stage is an inter turn you know yes and no but there's always there's always sort of other people there and um so but it's fine you know I was doing like I think my longest week recently was like 135 hours and that of course is not just one week and then I have some time off it's that's straight into the next week which is similar length you know so it's just it's just constant you know you're not getting any time off you're not getting any time to to take a breath but it was fine you know I was I was able to to deal with it you able to shoulder that load and so it was it was just a very different different experience and in my own perception of it it was still grueling amount of work and then I'm adding in the podcast stuff and I'm I'm having you know 100 hour weeks 20 hour weeks sometimes and I'm I'm doing this stuff at 2 am. you know especially early on you know when people were over in America and I didn't really have a big Channel I'm just just grateful that anybody was willing to talk to me and so I was just I was you know doing things at like 2: am so that it worked for their schedule and um and so I was just getting less and less and less sleep as I went but it was fine I was able to do it and I would never have been able to do that eating any other ways not a chance in hell hey everyone really happy to announce a new sponsor for the show and for everybody down in Australia Stockman steaks who are delivering high quality grass-fed and finished pasture raised beef and other meats flash frozen and vacuum sealed to your door something I've been enjoying a lot of myself recently as well they also have a great specialty gift along with your order at Stockman steaks.com Au and I'll see you over there thanks guys there is a there is a feeling of being superum Yeah Yeah Yeah you sort of feel you feel like a different breed of human that's it yeah and in a lot of ways you are because your body's working so much differently so much more differently to to everybody else everybody else is struggling you know they're struggling they're having energy issues mental health issues mental energy issues other sort of just overall health issues they're just constantly dealing with problems going on in their body rashes aches pains medications diabetes all these sorts of things which is really challenging to deal with and which is always funny to me when someone says yeah it's really so difficult to do a carnivore diet it's so restrictive it's so this I think just all the things that I don't have to deal with as a as a result of this it's so much better that way it's easy and you don't you don't realize how much energy it takes to think about what to cook think about what to have or where to go to eat um that all goes away and then uh the illnesses like the small ones I'm not even talking about the big ones like the ones like when I felt like there was bugs on my skin what is that and then I have to think about what is that Google it figure it out go see doctor all of that is energy no wonder no one's happy because we haven't got time to do the things that we really want to do because we're too busy trying to like keep up with all of that stuff so when that goes away it's like oh so so now I've really got time to do things and I mean I must admit it's probably my ego but there was a part of me that was like like wow I can overtake everyone everyone's so sick and they're tired and they're anxious and I'm not let's go let's go because I've been you know I've been doing working with my business for eight years and as a vegan it's like okay I got to speak to a client come on Laura try and at least sit up straight cuz I was like this sitting up straight was tiring um and I'd have to really try and concentrate and then put out content and then do podcasts and things whereas as soon as I switched my diet I was like I'm ready to show up right we can do five clients a day no worries let's just get it get it done help people get some content out go live all this energy you feel super human you really do and and but you also can see the agenda MH it's like oh yeah I see why they I see why that's been uh pushed because if you're that anxious and you're mental health really as bad as mine was when I was vegan for example oh any I can be controlled very easy I don't know who I am from one minute to the next and whatever version of me I am I don't like them so maybe it doesn't matter but that's a it's a very weird cloudy feeling I don't recommend anyone go through it but you don't realize it when you're in it you just don't you don't so you you just don't understand why you're so sick but when you switch and you see like oh hang on a minute I've got the physical strength the mental strength I've got the capacity to do it like you say like you can do all that work and then do a podcast you know and do all that and be okay and still show up content and like I want to be here then there's got to be something to that and I do believe we all have a purpose in life I really believe that and I'm sure this is part of yours so you can't show up for that if you're not nourished and then the hunger shows up in the weirdest ways oh I guess I must need another pair of shoes I guess I must need to go out and watch a baseball game and eat a hot dog like I don't know how it shows up for people but it does because the body knows it needs something 100% we just don't recognize what it really needs cuz it's so buried so we just attach addictions to it other things and even bad behaviors to it I mean how many Sab I sabotage relationships because of my mental health because you don't believe you deserve a good life you don't deserve you believe believe you deserve a good husband or a good wife so you just push people away it's it's it ruins people's relationship ships and it ruins people's self-esteem and you know you do gain confidence when you eat this way like and like you said it's easy you don't have to think about what to cook just there's a steak in the fridge done and I have I have an organic Butch just just down the road for me I walk to it every day it's it's easy and I don't have to think about anything because I was always like what do I cook I don't want anything I don't want vegetables yeah I don't want that like and I have to cook it because my mom told me I have to eat my vegetables and you know this sort of mindset of being good and being a good citizen and eating healthy but it just makes everyone sick you know and and it's funny when you have these conversations with people that don't eat this way because sometimes they're like what you just eat meat just just meat like well you know have a bit of dairy as well sometimes butter organic butter from the from the market and things and bit of cream in my coffee if I have a coffee or a cup of tea but yeah pretty much just meat and they're sh and yet there's a I I can tell there's a voice in them that's like well that just sounds quite nice actually as they're eating their salad and like you know their stomach's bloating out like this and they then they feel tired and sluggish and I've just I'm I've got energy I'm good to go CU you don't get that fullness in the stomach you get a fullness in your you get the sa satiation you feel you you don't need any more food you feel really satisfied but you don't feel bloated and full so you can just keep going none of this like afternoon nap don't need any of that because my body's not struggling to digest anything but that's another lie or isn't meat the most difficult thing to digest I don't know where that came from no it's the easiest thing to digest yeah I I remember seeing that first in bever the movie Beverly Hill cop and Judge Reinhold character this is like 80s movie and he just it just just oneof scene he's just walking around he's like reading this magazine or something like that and he just looks over them they did you know that by the time you're 30 you have 10 lounds of undigested meat in your colon oh and he like walks off and it was like all right and then it was just this oneof thing like well that was a weird thing to say but it plants that seed and then people oh yeah you can't digest meat you can't digest all just get you know sticks in there and I remember thinking that as as a kid I was like how how is that it's a tube it's a oneway tube it's not like any blind you know off shoots or anything like that some blind corridors they can just get stuck in uh it goes out and so if you don't digest it if you don't absorb it it just goes out and that's what they say about fiber is that you can't digest it you can't break it down that helps peristalsis and that helps relieve constipation so wouldn't the same thing be true of meat no meat causes constipation because you can't digest it hold on a second um I thought fiber cured constipation because you couldn't d digest it you know it's like these internally inconsistent arguments from the same people but it's yeah it's very strange and I mean there's there's a lot of reasons why I think that people are pushing this financial monetary but I honestly I totally agree with you that that there are people out there that are trying to keep people sick and miserable because it's it's easier to cow them it's easier to control them and you have the same people saying you we're saying hey look the research is out there the evidence is out there try it for yourself do your own research which used to just mean get an education educate yourself learn something which used to be a good thing it used to be a positive thing and now people are saying no no no no don't do your own research just listen to what you know teacher tells you that's that's it and um that's insane so you're telling people to be ignorant and you want them to be ignorant and that should tell you the whole game right there as well because one of the one of the oldest sayings in the world is keep people ignorant you keep them under control and that is and and we've just gotten so used to being in a in a safe Society here in the west where we were more or less governing ourselves or at least had more or less had some some choice in the direction of our lives uh we weren't living in oppressive autocracies which were every other country on Earth since the dawn of civilization apart from a few bright spots here in there and we're in one but it's it's fading and the the totalitarians they never went away they've just been pushed into the shadows and now they're starting to make a Resurgence and they're trying to get that power and control back and if you look back thousands of years one of the things one of the Hallmarks of of an oppressive Society or tyrannical government and a ruling class on their surfs peasants plebians is they is they limit the meat Supply they limit meat they make it very difficult to get so the British did this to to their surf class he certainly did it in Ireland and India and even the Romans did this the Romans did um we know about the phrase bread in circuses when the when the peasants the you know this normal citizens were getting a bit Rowdy and and looking like they're going to revolt um they start giving out bread and putting on circuses and spending money bread and circuses just feed them junk and distract them right wow but the the other side of that coin that they that you that doesn't make that saying bread and circuses that's what I always say it's like when there's something political going on there be some sort of event and they'll put these bread and circuses right but they don't tell you is the other side of that coin which was they cut off the meat Supply to Rome right so they'd stop people from being able to get meat but it's okay because they're giving out free bread and look there's there's something shiny right shut it right down that's how you keep people docile and under control we've been doing it for thousands of years this has not been lost on these people they have classical educations we are trying to dumb down Society but they they got that classical education that they are trying to withhold from from everybody else and and um they know exactly how to uh how to you know put themselves back into uh control because uh it's happened before it's actually been the standard of society for the human race is is being under control and under the Yoke someone else communism somehow is being is being talked about as this if this is a good thing as if 200 million people dead murdered through internal oppression and and forced famines was uh was not enough in the last century alone but I talk to people in Australia doctors here in Australia supposed to be educated people um they have no idea that this even happened they have no idea I said well like well I mean Stalin alone killed 67 million of his own people and this and this is a doctor you said who's Stalin right and and so I asked him guy was probably you know late 20s 30 maybe you know so uh old enough you know and and he was saying yeah we should have communism we should have a socialist uh communist society and very nice guy obviously very well meaning but you know didn't know the history didn't know what that was what he was really asking for and so didn't know who Stalin was and I said okay do you know who Hitler was he's like yeah of course I know who Hitler was and I was like well then of course you should know who father they were contemporaries they were both marxists uh they were allies in World War II until Hitler betrayed uh Stalin invaded Russia and he killed 10 times the amount of people that Hitler did so how the hell don't you know who Stalin is he was one of the greatest mass murderers of all time and um but that's the thing we're not we're not teaching people this stuff we're keeping them ignorant and so we not allowing this stuff in schools anymore that was taught to me I knew I knew that since grade school you know I grew up in the 80s I was a young child in the 80s when when USSR was still there I was I remember the the Berlin Wall coming down we had a piece of it you know they they were selling these things as um you know sort of keepsakes and things like that as momentos of these sorts of things at Hallmark the Hallmark store I remember they they sold them there we got a couple of those things we have like pieces of the Berlin Wall is a big deal and and now this person's 10 years younger than me there no idea who who Stalin is or what the USSR was and that's scary as hell because that's that's how we go back and and repeat that if anyone hasn't doesn't know about that read the gulg archipelago by Alexander solichin whatever you think the depths of depravity and evil that Humanity can ever stoop to whatever you think that is possible it doesn't hold a candle to what actually happened and took place with normal people on a daily basis during the USSR and and their Googs and slave slave labor encampments they're still existent now in China and we have mass murders of uh people like the weager Muslims in China and it's like 1.5 million people or something like that got put in these slave camps and probably a lot of them murdered and and we heard about this it made international news and it just sort of went away and it's like why why are we as free as free Nations entertaining you know any sort of trade relationships or any sort of friendly diplomatic status with a country that that still enslaves its people and and has slave camps and and and these these Googs these Force labor Googs that they work people to death and murder them is absolutely it absolutely blows my mind it's the same argument as with the USSR no they're just too powerful they're just too big we just can't afford not to just go with them we just oh we just hope they're nice to us that's what that's what we said about the USSR you know and then when we really started to go uh and say no we're we're going to we're going to show you what we can do and that we that this isn't um this isn't going to work for you and uh and USSR collapsed right well now we're saying the same thing about China oh no we couldn't possibly yeah can possibly if Western countries just stop trading with China and just say nope till you fix your act we're not doing this anymore they shut down they just they shut down you know they they require our business and our custom and um you know our trade relations with them they steal about $2 trillion dollar a year in intellectual property and um you know they have all these spies in different universities around the world where they're they're stealing proprietary information and and projects that that you know top scientists are working on um there's something called The confucious Institute that sounds all nice all confucious what a nice guy um it's it's just aspiring uh for China and they and they get into these universities all around the US and probably here too and um and they just steal information when I was at Duke um I did my my sub internship uh during medical school at Duke and um and around that time I don't know if it was exactly at that time there was one of these one of these students it was like sort of went in as a grad student and um then all of a sudden just one day just wasn't there didn't show up to work and the the lab was ransacked and all this data was taken off the computer and they were just gone they were just out of the country and uh that that's what they had done there's this this this professor had been working on this new piece of technology that was super top secret and uh they infiltrated it took it stole it took off you know like they just do this it's not not a one-of $2 trillion dollar worth of in intellectual property a year they get T get stolen so um yeah it's I I agree with you that um that there there are people out there that are trying to keep us sick and certainly for profit you know there's a lot of there a lot of money in this there's multi-trillion dollar uh industry in this this processed food garbage industry and a multi multi multi- trillion dollar industry in the pharmaceutical side of things the medical healthc care side of things I think um there's five non-communicable diseases that Harvard School of Medicine looked at for a study is cardiovascular disease uh pulmonary respiratory disease diabet type two di well it just a diabetes so but predominantly type two diabetes um mental health issues and um what was the other one cancer yeah obviously can't forget that so uh so so five major ones but certainly not everything and uh they found that this that worldwide spending on just those five issues um was going to top 13 trillion dollar in spending for uh just treating these sorts of diseases by 2030 and we're sort of close to that now uh but then in the opportunity cost and just uh you know people being sick and not being able to work and doing sorts of things that we're going to lose out of the economy about $ 46 trillion out of the economy from 2010 to 2030 and then just the premature deaths and lives loss and costs that um occur because of that that in 2011 I believe 20101 yeah 2010 I think I think worldwide that cost um the planet $22 trillion and by 20 3 is supposed to be up to around $42 trillion that's from the Harvard School of of Public Health and so this is this is Mega dollars I mean this is this is one of the most pressing issues because it doesn't matter what your health care system is no system is going to is going to be able to survive the pressure of um of that growing burden to health care and so there are a lot of people making absolute fortunes just Empires on the back of people being um killed sickened killed and then this just goes right hand in hand you know with the monsters that are saying like oh great since you got them there and they're all weak and disabled how about we go and Institute a global uh tyrannical system that that we get to be in charge of um I don't think that they're unrelated you know I don't it's not a conspiracy theory if people are actually out to get you like I mean there are people talking about how it's 2030 you own nothing and you love it you know like what is that right if you don't if I don't own anything and people don't own anything that means you own something because somebody owns it let's not kid ourselves somebody own it no no no the people own it the people own it and they have a proxy um you know running it in the government that is made up of people and there's people at the top of that which then de facto own everything and so if you don't own your own property someone else owns your property don't kid yourself so 2030 you own nothing and you love it that's saying hey it's 2030 you're a slave and you love it it's so great being a slave it's so good similar similar and these are not un unheard of arguments for slavery this goes back to Plato this goes back to Aristotle certainly in the American um SL times there were slave owners that that were saying no no no no like this is this is actually unethical to not have slaves because you just give people money but they're just they're just these poor uneducated idiots you know and they they don't know what to do with that money they don't they just going to go and spend it on you know liquor and hookers and their and their kids are going to be starving they won't have shoes and all that sort of stuff and like that's just irresponsible you can't do that like we take care of our slaves we raise kids we put clothes on their back and you know they work for us we're all a family together and all that sort of stuff and uh that's the argument is going on now like oh no you wouldn't you couldn't possibly run your own life you couldn't possibly ever be an adult you need to live in your mom's basement for the rest of your life and you know that's then that's what we'll do for you we'll just and you owne nothing and you love it it's just so great um no it's slavery and it's miserable it's misery and it's been the state of humanity since uh the dawn of civilization and um you you'll know it when it's gone I mean like like you said you don't really know when these little voices are out of your head you don't even know that they're there until they're gone you don't even know what freedom is until you lose it and you will you will never ever ever forgive yourself for giving it up once you have yeah and getting sick is losing most of it people don't realize until they get sick absolutely that's the thing they can that's the only thing that's going to be in the Forefront of your mind is to find a way to become well because you know getting sick is going to you'll lose everything and so I mean it's interesting that you say this cuz it's you know I can I I'm pretty sure the the whole world to me is like a slave camp and they've taken they've taken you know like what I remember studying like the Holocaust and stuff and um I see Germany when I was in school and and what they would feed the the the people in the concentration camp it would be like these just grain Just Grains just to keep them you know alive but they don't have um energy they don't have their mind they don't have anything because you can't function on that and you know when if you look back even just I know 150 years ago especially in England which is where I'm from you know the upper class families they would eat they be the ones having the red meat the raw families the upper class they'd be eating the red meat and then you had the middle class it would have the grains in the chicken so they'd have meat but chicken is a different whole different ball game to red meat so it's like it's good but it's not going to it's not going to be your red meat and then if you didn't have anything if you were poor it was bread bread and Grains and yet what's it's very look you have to admit it's clever what Society has done what the agenda has done it's gone huh let's make that a let's let's take that and make that a selling point let's tell them that that diet of the bread and the grains is the healthiest diet on human in human history and let's come up with some research let's just Chuck some numbers out because they'll just believe us anyway let's Chuck that out and keep telling them that it's good and even when they're eating it and they feel tired and anxious and depressed and they got no energy we'll just keep telling them it's the right thing to do and we'll keep selling it to them and then not only that those that still want to eat meat let's shame them let let's make them feel ashamed of themselves for wanting to eat meat and let's do different things to to make them feel that way so you're taking both sides of the spectrum and you're amplifying everything we'll shame the people that want meat and we'll praise the people that want to eat the grains and the bread and we'll praise them so much they'll they'll you know oh cuz you know there's the vegan Pride well about I'm ve you know you know when someone's a vegan right they tell you I'm vegan so I'm better than everyone and it's like no you're TI more tired than everyone it's an illusion and it's a way of making someone maybe feel important in their life I'm vegan look at me yeah okay like okay fair enough but you know it's like they literally took that and just and just Shone a light on it and said do this do this do this and what it's done is it's created a world of people that can't think for themselves they learn through their phone so I can literally go on Tik Tok right now and say anything and if that goes into let's say I said it on Instagram I've got quite big following on Instagram okay so I could just say anything that's going to go out into the mainstream and I'll hear people quoting it randomly Here There and Everywhere and I just made that up but that's that's like gospel to them now so I can put anything on so literally this is like the cleverest thing when it comes to propaganda we just keep feeding it through here and people will just keep scrolling it scrolling it scrolling it and people's bodies are going like this and people's hands are going like this and they're just addicted to the scroll but if you keep someone addicted to something if they if they're hungry m nourished give them a phone there's your addiction right there they need more dopamine people get hooked on dopamine when you eat Carnival the dopamine thing goes out the window you don't need those quick fixes you just don't you're not hungry but we give them a phone and we feed them grains and then when we put things right in front of them that's really damn obvious that it's not okay they're not going to argue mhm they just they won't argue and you know I've seen well not in my in person but I've seen videos of you know people doing these experiments on the street where they're sick or they need help and people just walk past them like it's nothing like oh and I know that I'm aware that you know there's lots of these videos so people go oh it's probably a skit let's just ignore it but some of these things are pretty big and it's like people just ignore it like they it's like the whole world's gone numb and they can't feel anything yeah that's what it feels like to me and so when you start eating this way and you rise above that oh you see it clear as a day clear as a day I don't know about you but I went through a phase of being really angry that I didn't know this sooner yeah cuz how much life would you have been living if you knew this if you were raised this way if you knew this you'd be like God who would I be if this is how I would have been eating my whole life like I would who knows MH you know so I had to actually sit with myself and feel the anger that we've been lied to and deceived and you know they say that the more they talk about like basketball players and strippers as an example but it's like the more you get paid the more of a distraction you probably are so just be aware of that cuz why right cuz why are they paying football is all that money why are they paying people act is all that money what are you doing you're pretending to be someone else well I can do that I'm not getting paid billions to be to pretend I'm someone else right but yet you have like the nurses and you have people that are genuinely helping society and they don't get anything but if you're going to distract like if you're going to be a basketball player and distract Society mhm we'll give you more we'll give you the status we'll make movies about you and we you know will shine a light on you because you're distracting everyone Hollywood is a distraction from who you really are cuz if you don't know who you are you have got you've got no power at all you got nothing if you don't know who you are hey guys just want to take a second to thank our sponsor at carnivore bar I don't promote many products because honestly all you need to be healthy is to just eat meat for those times that you're out hiking Road tripping or stuck at work and you want nutritious snack that is just meat fat and salt if you want it the carnival bar is a great option so I like this product not because it's just pure meat but also because I want the carnivore Market to thrive as well and the more we support meat only products the more meat only products there will be available in the mainstream so if this sounds like something you'd like to get behind check it out using my discount code Anthony to get 10% off which also applies to subscriptions giving you 25% off total all right thanks guys yeah that's really interesting too you know as you know because we think of it as entertaining you know people like well I'm willing to pay for this because it entertains me but that's a good point is distracting you is it's sort of taking your your eye off the off the ball and um and like bread and circuses right it's just like hey look at this look at this shiny thing you know yeah and um oh I was I was absolutely angry uh I did this for five years in my early 20s never felt better in my life I didn't realize it was from this as much as it was I stopped drinking at the same time and that had a massive impact and on my athletic performance I felt like a superhero already I was just like oh my God I'm recovering so much better everything's getting better and and so that I I I chocked it down to that I'm like yeah not drinking during the rugby season again ever and uh and I didn't I never I never broke that rule because if you make if you you know make an exception once you'll make it a thousand times and so I just nope just not going to do it and so there'd be years would go by because I I played sort of year round I played 15s and sevens and so they were just sort of back to back on each other and so and I loved it I I was I was used to going out I didn't drink I was always the designated driver my friends didn't care was still had fun and and I never I never had a I never felt you know awkward and self-conscious because I was used to that I was just used to being in those situations sober now and um then I did this more recently but I slipped off it because I didn't realize that that was what was making such a big difference and I was playing in England and I remember sort of you know I wasn't able to sort of stay with it and just stay on it and I was I convinced myself maybe it wasn't that big of a deal because as they say now to my arguments that that plants have toxins in is that well you know dose makes some poison I said that same thing to myself I said wow you know is there some chicken that was like breaded and or had a little crumming on it and I was like is it that big a deal you know it's from a plant but you know is it you know dose makes the poison it's not that much maybe it's not that big a deal made a huge difference and I didn't realize it I didn't realize that that was the difference and I was starting to get sore I was achy I thought I was getting injured it was just sore I had sore muscles you know but I hadn't had sore muscles in years so I thought I had an injury and I was just like what the hell is going on and I I didn't know it and I sort of slipped off it and then a little bit more slipped in and more slipped in I never ate dirty I was I never ate junk food um I just I ate a lot of meat and then you know Whole Foods otherwise you know I'd eat a salad because I had to and I'd eat some bread or something like that to soop up the meat juices or have you you know something like that and and that was it you know and often often I didn't actually have any bread or carbs at all it was just I ate meat and I would have i' throw a salad together because you're supposed to have salad and that was it and I felt like crap I just felt like absolute garbage and then I was 38 and I go back to this I just cut out the veggies I wasn't eating carbs and I just ate a lot more meat and in two weeks I felt like I was 22 again and I was like an absolute superhero and I was I was Furious because I looked back at the rest of my life and I realized except for those five years I've felt like garbage and I shouldn't have I should I've been so I've been robbed my Birthright I should have been feeling great the whole time I should never have had mental health issues I should never have had these weird little you know issues and aches and pains and tiredness and Asthma and all these I should they should not have existed and I should be s six inches taller and 50 pounds heavier of lean muscle and just been you know absolutely killing people and um you know and that that really bothered me so it um yeah definitely bothers me um you know how you was saying about the in England how it just sort of stratified out with like the upper class would eat red meat and then down would eat chicken and then and then a lot of grains um yeah I mean I was just thinking back on on how it was set up with like the surf class as well in in Europe as well it was like you know the commons were for the common folk that's where you grow grew grains and that's what you were paid with really and you just sort of the surf were tied to the land they were bound to the land they basically slaves I mean they just Slaves by a different name you know they you sold a property and the people who lived there came along with that proper is like that's uh that's pretty much a slave that's and and so but you weren't allowed to hunt those were the king's deer those are the king's Woods you know commoners out on the common and so you weren't allowed to have meat you know maybe you get some Dairy and butter or something like that but it would cost you and it was the upper class who who ate the meat and went hunting all the time and ate meat all the time because that was that was that was their privilege and uh you know we sort of got you know with sort of free market systems where people say Hey you know people want to buy this I can produce this that makes me money that helps them great you know more people want meat we just produce more meat great and it worked and you and and meat prices and and things like that food prices came way down and now they're trying to go back the other way they're trying to make the plant-based stuff cheap as hell and they're trying to ratchet up the the meat and it's um you know and I think it's exactly for that reason they're trying to make this cost prohibitive for the lower classes and and to keep the majority of the populace sick and enslaved and like you said if you're sick you really really don't have any freedom If you're sort of trapped inside your own body and you don't have the mobility and you don't have the mental energy and you're just sick all the time and you just like I look I can't I can't deal with that right now because I I have I have too much to deal with already and it's it's really it's really sad and I I see people all the time in my in my profession where they they live like that all the time even even people that have had uh injuries or or dis protrusion pushing on a nerve and they're in such a large amount of pain that they can't leave the house and tons of medication they can't work and the system is right now here in in Perth anyway in our neurosurgery department it's a four and a half year waiting period to get into be seen for the first visit and then you sort of see them assess them you try to do what you can for them if it's just like okay they need surgery that could take you know months to get them worked up and it's like okay you know this person needs surgery um you know they're waiting another year or two right and so some people just aren't working that entire time and because they're so in so much pain and now they're on so many drugs drugs and narcotics and painkillers to just try to take that edge and it know it doesn't doesn't do all that it should for some of these people some of these people are still in quite a significant amount of pain and uh and they're so doped up and so uncomfortable in so much pain they just don't do anything they have nothing to do with their life they all put on weight and they uh lose their jobs and they don't have any sort of and they're just on on the Dole and and that's it that's their life for 5 years while they're trying to get this sorted out I mean it's it's you know that is being a slave and trapped inside your own body yeah um that must be tough for you to because you know if they just switched what they were eating lot going to go away so that must be difficult for you to be in that situation where I'm assuming you can't really give that advice I don't know how it works in your industry but I'm guessing it's not really I don't know if it's maybe not the place for you to say that or whether it's not welcome or it it depends in in my own practice I get to say whatever I want okay and so um but you know when I'm at the hospital and it's you know these are by public patients and the and it's the hospital system and things like that uh yeah then then you're you're more limited in what you can talk about sometimes you know when it does come up like I just do talk about especially when people have refractory pain where they've had surgery they had the decompression and just not it's it's not getting better because the nerve has just had permanent damage and you just let them know and say Hey listen you know this is something that you could you could look into if you just change your diet you cut out the carbs you cut out the sugar and alcohol this actually reduces inflammation a lot your ketones go up and that suppresses inflammation as well and that can help you know and here are some videos of all these people that have have recovered look in the comments there's hundreds of people in your exact situation that have improved their health it's worth a shot anyway and so I think because well it is evidence-based medicine I mean that that those are all facts and um and we have you know controlled trials and and Interventional trials in humans showing the benefits of ketogenic diets uh for specific medical outcomes by the thousands it's the most rigorously studied diet in the world and um it's the only diet that's actually been rigorously studied the plant-based diets are all just EP you know a nutritional epidemiology survey studies they just say hey what did you eat last year you know and they say oh you had pizza you had fast food you had lasagna you had sandwiches meat that's all meat those things can have meat in them therefore you eat meat so you know it's um it's fraud you know and they get to say whatever they want with them but when you actually do a controlled trial or an Interventional trial and you compare that against the standard outcome you know you can't you can't you can't uh mess around as much it's not as it's not as easy to do that and um and so the ketogenic diet is really the only one that has been tested as rigorously in as many trials and that's a meat-based diet because you're you're getting rid of carbohydrates what are you replacing with fat and protein where's that fat and protein come from it comes from meat I mean you could do it with plants but they don't none of these studies do because be next to impossible to have you just drinking canola oil and and taking massive amounts of supplements and things like that to get enough energy and nutrition and uh they just don't they just don't do that so all these ketogenic diet studies are are meat-based they're animal-based diets they're whole food high fat meat-based diet so it's Carn with carnivore with a side salad it's carnivore light it's the most rigorously studied diet on Earth One head-to-head against the dash diet is shown time and time and time again to beat against uh to win out on all these different source of outcomes for like lowfat high carb diets and things like that um calorie calor controlled all these sorts of things just again and again and again and again and so you know it is this is evidence-based medicine and so I I feel when I see these these patients that it's not it wouldn't be ethical for me not to say something and um you know especially things like cancer and things like that um you know I want to get a trial going you know to to study this I mean there's already you know two dozen human trials on GB M Glo blastoma which is the most aggressive form of primary brain cancer it's also the most common which is not great and so I want to get sort of trials with that going because there's there have been you quite Su amazing success stories uh of individuals but also case series and and even Interventional trials and randomized control trials in humans it's just they're smaller and so now we need a bigger one and uh but there are already major institutions such as Cedar s Medical Center in America which is one of the you know major hospitals in America who use this who use ketogenic metabolic therapy as as a treatment in their Arsenal against cancers of all description and then paleo medicina in Hungary they've famously been using this for you know 15 plus years and having amazing results and as a firstline treatment not just waiting for them to be just so shattered by chemo radiation and multiple re resections uh it's just like well you know you could always try just not eating sugar see what happens you know and then they they end up doing so much better um it's first line they just get in right in away like hey get on this right away it it it actually can be used as an adjunct to chemo radiation because actually being in ketosis or in a ketogenic metabolic state with high ketones actually protects your your body from chemo and radiation the damages of Keto chemo and radi and and sensitizes the cancer cells to Chone radiation so this this is this is a great thing to add on you know I'm not saying you have to have to only do this it's not one or the other you do both of these things you can absolutely do both both of these things there are some people with GBM where they look at it and they just say okay well I'll take the reection great uh but gon radiation they're they're going to give me two months and uh extra and you know the type of GBM I have isn't really uh all that responsive may not even give me that much and they're like you know I think I'll pass and so some of people are doing that and um and there's three of them now that are alive you know 10 years down the line that I've had on my podcast and they're supposed to be long dead I mean you know nine years ago you know and so you know it's something that I I don't feel is ethical to not mention and when people say say specifically is there anything I can do is there anything I can I can do to help this is there anything I and they say this is change the way I eat do I stop drinking do I this do I that what can I do because they want they want some sense of control over their life because they've just been handed a death sentence and they want something that they can say okay I still have some sort of control in my life and the Very well-meaning oncologist will often say no no none of that matters eat whatever you want drink whatever you want it doesn't matter right and and I know that there's saying this as like a like a nice thing of like hey yeah just party just live it up just just do it they're not asking for a hall pass on on you know to go to spring break you know they're they're trying to be proactive in their help and have have some sort of control in their life and you're basically telling them nothing that they do will matter and they're just going to die no matter what it's just chemo and radiation will extend your life a little bit and on average you'll get 15 months out of it and then you're dead and um that's devastating for people to hear their heads always go down when they tell me that they've been told that and uh and it and it bothers me and so I I always say I was like of course there's something you can do of course what you eat matters of course what you drink matters if you're just as healthy as you can possibly be you're going to be able to weather the chemo and radiation better your body's going to be better able to to fight this horrible disease of course that's going to matter and um and you just instantly they just go like like wait what you know and you know it's it's not to say look you're going to cure this and you're going to be out of here it's just of course you can you what you do matters you know and you and you give them some sort of control back in their life and they have it I mean this is this is this has been shown literally 100 years there's hundred years of evidence showing that um that cancer is is to do with damaged mitochondria and then you starve those mitochondria or you starve those cancer cells of uh glucose and energy they just they just can't meet their metabolic demands and they die yeah right it's called the warberg effect we use this for pet scans all the time you know you look you know um cancer cells require 400 times the amount of glucose as normal cells and so because they have damaged mitochondria they can't you know make energy properly and they have a much higher metabolic derand because they're just constantly turning over and and dividing and so this is what we use this principle in for pet CTS you we give them an injection of radiol labeled glucose and we take a CT and see where that glucose went and you see this little dot here hot here here here just where all that glucose is just boom and there this big hot spot spots and those are those tumor metastases okay well every time you have a bagel remember that picture this hot spot here and Hot Spot there and Hot Spot there you are feeding these Cancers and you're just dumping you know fuel on the fire and it's uh and and so of course it matters what you do of course it it makes a difference what you eat and of course you have a say in that and uh I I don't I I just I can't not tell people that when they ask me to my face point blank is there anything that I can do of course I have to say you know what this it's it's preliminary smaller studies but some people have found that you know these principles and all these sorts of things here's some resources you can look into it yourself and and find out more about it you know I can't I can't direct them on that in that setting because um we just don't we're not set up to do that you know um until we get the trial going uh which would be I really really hope can happen um in my practice because I have a private practice in you know metabolic health and and just I I get to address whatever the hell I want to address and so you know I can definitely tell people what I think that they should do and and um but otherwise you know it's it's one of those things like I I don't think it's like something that you're going to really get into too much trouble about because it is evidence-based and you can you can absolutely defend you can absolutely back that up but it's also so in Australia even it actually just this week um the diabetes you know big main diabetes sort of um body in Australia they've adopted ketogenic diet as uh as first line treatment against diabetes so this is It's mainstream medicine now this is guideline medicine right and so uh that that protects you and a carnivore diet is a ketogenic diet so anyone says oh you're doing this or no this is a ketogenic diet what you what did you think a ketogenic diet was it's meat that's what it is and so um but um yeah so I I don't think you're going to be in too much uh of have any issues there because it is evidence base and now it is in the guidelines and um you know but at the same time uh if you sort of if you are sort of a lower level person you do have to be careful because those aren't technically your patients and if the person who's in charge who is their patient says hey I don't want you talking to them about it yeah you're kind of stuck you know and so uh that is their patient you know and uh and so your hands are a bit tied there um but there's things you can do just say listen I'm not really allowed to talk about this but you know there's other sorts of things why don't you just look up some of these things and just take a look you know that's all I'll say and um I just you know getting in trouble and and piss pissing someone off is is means less than nothing to me compared to allowing someone to die in misery and Agony without any any shot at uh at Hope and and doing something that could extend their life and improve their health and not necessarily cure them but just give them more time with their family and their loved ones and sometimes people are I mean you 10 years a decade down the road where they they shouldn't they wouldn't normally be and more more people are in this category and then all these other cancers that are not as aggressive as GBM uh people are absolutely putting these things into remission uh and they're foregoing chemo and radiation and they're and they're doing K ketogenic metabolic therapy and uh and they're deciding to do that and so why how could you not tell somebody that I mean they have a death sentence and um and you just say ooh my boss might get mad at me you know you might need a new boss I mean it's just you know like just yeah but it's amazing how people would rather be sick than give up sugar well there's that too yeah because that's a I I do because I did keto when I was about 23 I did keto for about 18 months had all my energy I I lo I put on weight at University when I was studying and I was stressed so I lost all the weight I could run I could do all these things and I did it for about a year and a half and I remember AC accidentally eating something with sugar in it and thinking that tastes absolutely disgusting why are we eating that it tastes vile when you haven't had it for a long time it's disgusting it tastes like literally tastes like plastic poison I don't get it but we're used to it right but I remember being on it for like 18 months and feeling good but at that time emotionally I wasn't ready for it I don't fit in anywhere I can't eat anywhere and go out um I'm not the same as everyone else um I want to I don't want to miss out on anything you know fomo I don't want to miss out on eating chocolate with my partner or you know my boyfriend's eating M&M's I want an M&M or whatever that was going on so now I feel like the reason it's so easy as well is because it's there's no emotional attachment to food anymore you know sugar they say sugar with the with the work that I do in my industry so I teach about all the the emotions and the energy and things and sugar is the equivalent of being hugged by your mother that's the energy of it it's a warm hug from Mom so what people are wanting from their sugar is love Comfort nourishment right you know being hugged by the your wife your husband your mom everyone wants that so sugar is that and um you know when you've done a lot of the work that I do the emotional stuff there's no emotional attachment to food anymore I don't eat when I'm bored I don't eat CU I'm sad because it doesn't fix anything if I'm sad I need to cry and I'll be fine I'll get up the next day and everything's okay but a lot of people have that emotional fix to food they have have that sort of they they know they need something but they don't know what it is and food is a substitute for that it's an addiction so some people you know people like when you say oh i' I'd rather have chemo than than not give up sugar I'd rather keep eating the sugar and and take my chances that's scary you'd rather eat sugar and potentially die than give it up like that's quite a scary addiction that we're talking about here and um but that is what essentially is it's it's it's the warmth and it's like a it's a cuddle for people and so I think that you know people that struggle and say well you know I don't want to give that up or I don't want to miss out you know I don't want to you know I don't want to go to a dinner party and not be able to have anything and it's like I can forgo that I can forgo going to a dinner party or maybe I'll eat before I go or maybe I'll just have a steak and I'm okay with that but it's amazing what people aren't willing to give up for their for their health and it's and again it is all a big distraction you know um do do we need to be like food is so social we don't even realize it yeah like oh let's nourish ourselves you know because when you start eat when I shifted I'd have my breakfast in the morning and I don't need anything I don't even think about food and yeah all my friends would be texting me like hey should we go for lunch I'm like oh that's such a weird thing to say but I guess it's I guess that's normal but to me right now no I don't want to go for lunch I ate breakfast I don't need anything for like the day really but we do we socialize and everything's about missing out fitting in and being you know having these it's all either a dopamine fix or some kind of Illusion that makes you think that everything's okay now let me just have a bit of sugar oh there we go get the sugar in the bloodstream I feel good now I feel good I feel good and then you get the crash and you live your life like this and then you wonder why you're anxious it's like nah in like Smooth Sailing yeah that's that's where it's at it's much better I um I just that reminded me of actual case study it was a case series out of cedra cyani and they had I think it was around 15 patients uh most of them had GBM or other sorts of uh neurological tumors a couple others outside of that um but one one person who did have a GBM and he had been vegetarian before this and so he went keto which is you know meat-based and and uh he was like you know fourth line he had had surgeries and resections and re- resections and chemo and radiation and then sort of last line chemo something called a vastin which is you know horrible stuff but it gives you a bit of extra time and um uh and then they were like nothing's working do you want to try this and he's just like all right I'll try it and they were all like that too they were all like fourth line sort of going to keto and all the people in this besides besides two uh were still alive at the time of the uh publication and so this had been years actually and so these people were actually Living Years past their expected survival as like fourth line sort of treatment and um and this guy was doing better and he had a lot of neurological recovery and uh physical recovery he was able to you know go out and be more normal interact and have a life again um and on MRI his GBM was actually shrinking was actually receding and going away right and then after a while he just said you know what I just I don't like this lifestyle anymore I want to go back to my old lifestyle and be able to go out with my vegan friends and and have my life and he died you know shortly after that so just he just came right back and got him and I mean like you said it's just like you you'd rather youd rather die than not eat sugar and carbs you'd rather die than uh than not be part of that accepted group of of uh you know people that that eat a plant-based diet you know that's that that's wild to me that someone would do that maybe they didn't quite realize that that was that how significant it was it's like well it probably wasn't that you know how could it possibly be I just just not eating vegetarian is the most healthy thing in the world obviously you know that's going to be what's better for me unfortunately he he passed away um the other person who passed away also came off the diet and uh everyone who stayed on it they were still alive at the time of the uh at the time of publication to my memory so it's it's very sad it's very sad to see that and see people maybe not understanding just how significant this is and of course you know it's just not that information is just not out there yet you know the public understanding of how how significant this diet these dietary changes uh can be uh they just they just don't know that yet it's not out there uh it's getting there and people are talking more and more about it which is why it's great to have you know people talking about this more and having these conversations and getting out on their platform and saying hey people this uh made a huge difference in my life and maybe it's something you can think about as well um so important because there's no money behind this there's no money behind the ketogenic diet there's no product at the end of this in fact a lot of products go away you know a lot of junk food and a lot of medicines that are now Superfluous go away and then all these all these people say well now what the hell do I do well I don't know people with making buggy whips had to figure it out you can do the same you know just go away you know we don't want you anymore we want to be healthy and so we don't want this sick care nonsense anymore we want health care and so um you know you know it's but eventually this will hopefully get out to more people but it is it is sad to me when people say that say like oh but I couldn't do that really really yeah your life depended on it really that's that's crazy to me I I guess it goes down to like people choose their safety right if people feel safe in a social situation they'll pick safe they'll pick that people will pick safety over days and if if a belief system is safer to them they'll pick that if being vegan and being in that Circle feels safe to them they'll pick that so if feels dangerous and unsafe to go against the grain and I mean for me I've always been a bit of a leader I just F make my own path I don't care to follow anyone else's I don't usually like anyone else's so I'll just find my so for me it was kind of it took it took a minute but I was you know like I'm just going to go this way even though all my friends are vegan and all my friends are you know having vegan dinner parties and talking about how great being a vegan is even though half of them can't breathe cuz their iron is so low I'm going to go the other way and I'm going to breathe and I'm going to exercise and I'm going to you know go against the grain which is the unsafe path but to me it's always unsafe path is the safe one for me cuz I always look at like well okay well you're telling me to do that but you don't look that great like if you look at the you know I did the whole ex vegan binge on YouTube I made my own X vegan video as well which is floating around somewhere in the on YouTube the abys I yeah it's in the abyss somewhere if you type in Laura bird veganism I'm sure it would come up um but you know I look at these vegan YouTubers and I'm like you do not look well and I don't think I care to look like you and I actually think there was I'm pretty sure that it was you this would have been like two years ago there was a picture I think it was you but it might been someone else a picture of you next to a vegan activist who was like oh Gregor Dr Gregor yeah yeah yeah someone made that and um like what and and and the thing with that was is that in those pictures we were the same age at that time yeah yeah yeah but he looked about 40 years older than you m and I looked at it and I was like oh yeah and he's holding a piece of broccoli in the picture that I remember he like like this and I don't know I think you just had a stake or maybe you just I know you didn't have your shirt on and it was like okay so this you're telling me these guys are the same age their bodies are the same age their face are the same age why does one look double the age of the other one and that was when I started looking at you know changing my lifestyle I just couldn't believe it and then I I noticed it myself I would say to my partner like why do I feel like I'm getting old when I at the time I was like well my late 20s I was like why do I feel like I'm getting old why do I feel like my skin is great and it's getting like like I literally felt old my back was hunching over and I just felt like I was oh you know it's middle a people say oh it's was middle age I was like I'm 28 I shouldn't be having arthritis right now like this is not right and people like well that's just what happens when you get older not not in your late 20s come on that's ridiculous but it's amazing what we don't realize and we have to question it like you have to question things that's all I would say to people because again it's the brainwashing but you're eating the healthiest diet like you sure it's not in your head like you you know you you getting older all these things it's like no hang on a minute I don't think that's right and even you know when I shifted my diet and I told you this when I spoke to you earlier about you know being here about the the industry I was in I was in a very spiritual industry you know I yoga retreats and breath work and sound healing and all these things and as soon as I went to I hate to say this but as soon as I went to Carnival I was like why is everyone doing that why why are we doing this like it's suddenly didn't make sense anymore and I'm like okay hold on a second cuz it changed everything I was teaching changed all my beliefs and what I I've been qualified in and you know I was I I knew people that they'd wake up so they've had 8 hours sleep okay so you've rested for 8 hours now you want to go and do a half an hour meditation okay cool and then you want to do a half an hour breath work okay cool and then you want to go to a different type of meditation okay and then you want to go to yoga and then breathe on the yoga mat okay so now you're telling me 3 hours has gone by but you've just had 8 hours sleep so what what what what are we doing here like why do you need to do that now was your 8 hours sleep not enough oh well you know I I like to be Centered for the day okay but I woke up and I'm centered can we can we can we go do something like because a lot of my friends would be into this and I'm like can we go do something like I'm ready to go as soon as I wake up I wake up at 5 6 5 6 let's go I'm ready and yet all these people people around me were like well let's just do a couple of hours of breath work I'm like why I've just slept for8 hours I don't need anything let's go couple hours yeah like I don't like what like to me it's like but we could be doing something like we could be really making a difference in the world or doing something really exciting but you need to Center yourself because you're so anxious you have to Center yourself because you're eating foods that want to destroy you and I'm not doing that and so now I don't need to Center myself I am centered I don't need to meditate you become the meditation and even like doing my yoga training I was like I don't even know if I want to be here anymore I don't know I mean I'm going to do it I've paid a lot money to qualify but these these Suddenly It's like I didn't know I was this person I I thought I was the person that did the breath work and the meditation and the yoga and the L spiritual stuff but I'm not it was just a compensation it was a way of me coping with life but when you eat a meat-based diet you don't need to cope anymore you just live your life yeah it's bizarre you suddenly watch everyone you're like people are really weird like the things that we do it's really odd but you don't see it when you're in it and then you're you eat meat and suddenly you feel like oh I can breathe I can run I got a clear mind I like who I am and then you observe everything and go wow the world has gone nuts MH circus and bread there you go it's so obvious yeah yeah and um I I I often think how much more time I have in my day where i'm not thinking about preparing or eating food I've got so many more hours I'm so much more productive it's so much easier for me to get things done you know people ask me like how how do you have time for all these things that you do it's just like well I don't you know I'm definitely behind on the things that I want to do but you know when I'm up I'm just doing things I'm just I have the energy I don't need to just oh God I need a break or need a nap or something like that I can just do things and some of those things I I enjoy doing and some of those things are are are tedious and they're pain in the ass but they have to get done and so you just do them and and you get them done and so uh and I'm I haven't eaten yet today it's you know it's it's later in the day and I'm I feel fine you know that's a that's not a problem for me and uh you know normally I'd be you know just just crashing at this point if I hadn't been able to eat or do anything I'd just be frantic with with uh you you know the need to eat and and the lack of energy and blood sugar and all these sorts of things now it it it doesn't do that and you know like you said you see all these people doing these things but it's clearly not working for them but there's they're in that sort of mindset because when you're in it you you you just don't know you don't know what it is and when you're a surf in you know uh the Middle Ages you don't know you don't know that things can be different you don't you don't know of ancient Athens you don't know of the future in America and and what the future of Great Britain will be you just don't know you don't know what that's going to be you're just in it and that's just your reality and then all of a sudden you step out of it and you just go that was that was and and you just don't know unless unless you get out of it and thankfully that we have you know at least for this we're able to step out of it and you know I I think of the the Robert Frost poem you know two paths you know diverg the woods and I chose a path Less Traveled and that's made all the difference and it really has you know when you go against the grain when you go against what other people do you don't just because you know we're we're social creatures we're sort of family community animals and we're trying to okay well this is what everyone's doing so that's that's where safety is yes you know that's true and you can take the safe path but it's not always the actual safe path it's not always the right path it's not always the the one that's going to get you to where you want to be and sometimes you have to say you know what I'm going to go on my own path and strike out and take a risk and no risk no reward and it was um a lot of people like Jordan Peterson would say hey you need to go out and you need to fight a dragon you need to fight something you have to have a risk you have to have consequences but then if and it can kill you it can it can destroy you but if you win you get the treasure you get the dragon you get this whole big thing and you know Jo Joseph Campbell talking about the same sort of thing you know the hero with the Thousand Faces and going out on this Quest do something you're doing something different you're going out you're striking out and the reason we have a story about this individual who did it is because no one else did it right he's this is the person that struck out and um and did something on their own and tried something new and um and that's why we're writing stories about them yeah yeah Jordan petson is a great person too his story is amazing yeah definitely yeah yeah I came across him right at the beginning you before he was you know Jordan Peterson uh when he was I think it was Bill c16 up in Canada where he was saying look this is not a good idea this is compelling speech there's one thing about limiting it and saying look you can't you can't incite a riot and you can't incite violence you can't say hey someone should kill that guy something like that you can't say that um uh you know that's that's fine you know stopping certain um incendiary speech but when you're compelling speech you're telling someone they have to say something that they don't believe to be true that starts you down a very very very different path and that's dangerous and he said look this is this is a direction that we went with Nazi Germany with the USSR with these other sort of despotic regimes that came up in the 20th century and that's that's a that's a very very dangerous road to go down and so he spoke out about it they tried to destroy him M with the wrong guy because he was he didn't he was wasn't he wasn't just you know talking out of his ass he wasn't just saying that for no reason like he had a depth of knowledge and experience as to why he felt that that mattered and so he was able to you know to to fight back and you know there them trying to destroy him actually catapulted him into International uh Fame and recognition albeit a lot of people trying to tear him down and him having to defend himself and now they they just don't mess with him really just like it's just not going to work they just all right you just go over there and and we just will try to ignore you and uh but no I I've always found it very very interesting and um interestingly enough I found a lot of one of the things that got me really interested in him was um he was saying very similar things in similar ways and coming to very similar conclusions to my favorite thinker of all time Thomas S uh who's who's an American Economist and one of the most brilliant human beings one of the most brilliant and well developed thinkers that America has ever produced just absolutely hands down and um Jordan was coming to similar conclusions that Thomas Soul was uh but from a different direction he's coming from from a psychology of of the man and and historical point of view because he was obviously um you know student of history and then so from uh logic philosophy economics and historical point of view and and they were coming to very similar conclusions and it was uh it was just like oh like has has has Jordan read Soul like he must be a fan of soul and I sort of saw something he was talking about where he got put onto a soul book it's like oh this is you know it's very interesting you know I have to see what I think about I'm like holy he hasn't been reading it so there was he actually independently came up to similar things that so said I was very impressed by that and I sort of wanted to know more and so I sort of sort of looking into him more but no I think he's I think he's been a very interesting person to follow as very interesting ideas and I think it at the very least what you can say is that he's opened the conversation up in very positive ways whether you like him or you don't like him uh he's he's at least opened the discussion and the conversation at least held the door open for other people to have a conversation in the first place because when he came to prominence it was because they were trying to shut that door and shut down that conversation and say you're not allowed to have that discussion at all and so whether you agree with them or not at least you have the ability to agree with him or not whereas the people that he's been pushing back against we're trying to shut down that conversation and make it so that conversation never happened and whether you agreed with it or not it didn't matter you weren't allowed to talk about it and so obviously that is not a world that any of us want to live in hey everyone if you need a little extra help getting started on a carnivore diet and my online resources that I have for free aren't enough for you you can go to www.how carnivore docomo challenge where you'll have online Resources Group support weekly Zoom meetings as well as the ability to chat live with myself Simon Lewis and the others in the challenge who can help you and support you and give you extra advice and help you along the way so if that sounds like something that would be beneficial to you then please go to how carnivore we'll see you there yeah he's a if you if you Google um I mean I Googled him like 10 years ago when he was talking with Michaela when she was really sick and if you look at him then yeah and look at him now it's scary the difference like the man glows now whereas if you look at him 10 years ago he was pale he was depressed he literally talked like this and was like well you know my my daughter is very sick and whereas now he just literally shows up like he owns the place his skin is glowing he's lost all that weight he's not depressed like even just looking at the difference in him and Michaela from switching to a carnival diet is incredible but I always felt like he's the Alan Watts of his generation the kind of The freeth Thinker and allowing people to open their mind up and letting men be powerful and letting women be powerful in their way he's definitely kept Avenues open for everyone and he's a big advate for this diet and yeah I just I remember Googling him like when did he even start this and just finding like an interview from him I don't know like 10 years ago and I was like wow is that him like I've never seen him look like that he was overweight pale depressed like he he's different it's incredible I highly recommend people go and look at that yeah I saw a TED Talk of his uh where before you know he came to prominence and he was talking about you know his his field in Psychology and he was he was quite a prominent figure in that field so um but yeah it was very slow moving very poor posture sort of hunch down this it got very very big trunk sort of trunk obesity uh thin hair yeah yeah way thick and so very thin face was all puffy and inflamed and and he's just moving around and he's talking about these things he's trying to sort of talk in certain ways that you know if if they were coming from Jordan Peterson now with that energy and life Vibrance they would they would hit with a lot of impact uh but because he was just he was just in the doldrums of his own health and he was just sort of well you know saying these sorts of things it was like it just didn't have the same punch you know and um and so yeah I mean you just see a very very different side of him now that he's healthy and uh which is great for all of us I just really wish I could I could get a hold of Thomas soul I don't know if anybody knows Thomas Soul or friends with him please reach out to me would love to get in touch with him and get that man on a carnivore diet so we can get another 30 years of his Brilliance because you know he's he's in his 90s now but he's still P pumping out books he pump published a book on his 92nd birthday you know and um he's the man is just is just iconic and prolific have you come across him before I don't know him I've never heard of him I'll have to look at he's like you know he he's like the Pinnacle of of thinkers modern thinkers and um I yeah I've yeah I I seriously I I I I think he is quite honestly the most brilliant and well-developed thinker that America has ever produced I hands down you know and and he has as as he said about Milton fredman he's a Nobel Prize winner in economics that was his mentor in in his PhD um he said about Milton um but 100% applies to so old is that he's one of those those rare individuals that has a combination of both Brilliance and Common Sense and you can listen to Soul get you know people coming after him with all these like well look at this stats and this and this and this and this and this and this and this and in one sentence he'll just cut it all to the quick and just be like you know this and you're just like oh look at that you know and and and he just is has such such grounding and base of knowledge and understanding that he just he just knows um he just knows all the arguments and he knows all the stats and he knows all the statistics and you can have these things these problems in you know Modern Life and politics is Raging for weeks and debates on news programs and in Congress and all these sorts of things and and then he'll just write a 750w essay you know he's been syndicated columnist for decades and not he's he's stopped that but he's still right writing books but he stopped his column a couple years ago but he write 750w column about like okay so this is what these guys are saying this is what these guys are saying here's the evidence behind it here's the thing here's what's actually going on you show that yep that's it that's all there is you know it's end of the discussion it's like like he he writes like it's like a mathematical proof it's just like it's just like this so logical it's beautifully written he's he's a beautiful writer uh it's really interesting to to listen to but it is so logically airtight and it's just it's just facts and data and he just lays it out he doesn't tell you this is what you should think he just says like look here's the information do it as you will and you're like yeah well that's it you know that that's just airtight you know and no he's he's absolutely amazing you I think you'd be really uh fascinated by his work yeah it sounds like it because I love how Jord can do that same thing they throw something at him and he just goes du D du that's it he doesn't use extra words or fluffy words or try and Pad anything out he just says as it is here's your here's your statistics this is what we've done this is why you think that this is what it is done it's incredibly impressive um so I would be interested in someone like him here for sure yeah would should definitely check out his books that mean things like economic facts and fallacies uh wealth poverty and politics um uh the Quest for Cosmic Justice you talk about like you know so social justice and all that sort of stuff he's like no well no it's it's not even that it's Cosmic Justice because we're saying well it's not fair that someone's born with a disability we need to even that out so it's like okay well it's unfairness of the cosmos you know that someone is born you know they can't they aren't as intelligent or they aren't as fast and we have to just even up every every aspect of society even if it's something you're born into and um and's he's great when when he um when he talks about this sort of stuff uh but a good place to start with those books but um he has a couple appearances on a show called firing line there's a guy named William F Buckley that was his show for 30 plus years and so was on that a number of times as was Milton Freedman and friedrick Hayak and all these sorts of people that sort of brought freemarket economics back to the Western thinking and they were all like socialists and keynesians and Milton Freedman was one of FDR's um you know uh of Great Depression sort of Economist how are we going to fix this what are we going to do and all this sort of stuff and he saw like Hey we're trying all this kyy and economics we're trying all this deficit spending try terrible idea this was terrible just didn't work and so then we like nope we got to go back got to go back to this and um so but anyway on Firing Line Thomas S has been s o w l l that's how you spell his last name Thomas sell and he um was on there and so how Firing Line works is you have a book that comes out or something that goes on and and buck will talk to you about it and if he sort of agrees with you he'll ask you a bunch of things and they'll talk about the book and but if he but if he's you know but it was firing line so you got to be you got to be able to defend your position so if he disagrees with your position he'll go after you right and if uh he doesn't disagree with your position he got someone else to it go after you and so you know he's getting the law professors from Ivy League schools and and uh economics professors from Ivy League schools and things like that to to come after soul and I mean just it's like he's batting down children I mean it's just I mean the things that he says are just hilarious and you just like you almost feel bad and you're like oh my God this is just like this is this is embarrassing for this other person you know I mean they're just absolutely getting destroyed he's not being mean you know he's not he's not like cussing at them or being rude or anything like that he's just like he's just like like no like this this is this like what are you talking about you know and it's absolutely amazing so you watch those and um you see and they're talking about the exact same things we're talking about now yeah exact same issues we're talking about now he addressed in his books 40 years ago you know and it was it was case closed then but we're still doing this because it it pushes a political agenda that's all there is to it and it can get people fired up and and voting for you and that sort of stuff um but it's it's it's not true these things are not the case and when you look at that and the things you're looking at you're like wow this is amazing I I had no idea about these sorts of things would change your mind on a lot of these things when you learn a lot of the facts about uh how how these systems are run um oh another one another really good one is just uh applied economics thinking past stage one that's a that's a fantastic book that's a master class on how to think as opposed to what to think it's brilliant brilliant book and um but yeah in any case I'll I'll sort of leave that leave that off if people want to see that they can but um just just a final question before we wrap up um you mentioned how this sort of changed your views on the breath work and the meditation and these sorts of things um and how you know you can relate you know just be more calm and be sort more calm and peaceful partner how has this affected your your work with your clients um and and your approach to things has that changed your work at all with them yeah similar to what you were saying with your client your patients you want to tell them so you know if I'm working with a couple for example and and the man is saying or the woman actually is saying he doesn't listen this is just common right he's not listening to me uh he's not meeting my needs he's not doing this that and the other a lot of the time when she feels that way she uh she's going to take that out on him she's going to get frustrated with him right so I teach women how to speak to men to get them to actually hear you so you have to speak to a man instead of at a man right so we do all these things and I noticed I'm like okay if you were to do 30 days where you only ate meat I want you to tell me if you start having different reactions to him and some people have said similar to you know I can't give up suar it's too restrictive it's not restrictive it's Freedom actually it's Freedom I'm offering you Freedom you don't have to take it um but I've had in the last few months a couple of women say I'd be interested some women said oh I've done keto before so maybe I'd be you know I could do something like that well that's that's better than nothing so try it and these women have come back to me with their husbands first of all the husband says this thank you I'm like you're welcome this why this is why you hire me right you're welcome and she says to me I'm just so calm I'm not emotional anymore so so Society has deemed women and we deemed this for ourselves as well we're emotional creatures yes we are we feel everything yes absolutely we're very sensitive but we're not as emotional as we think we're just hungry so um it's it's actually brought couples together so I've seen a difference in my work in that respect it's brought couples together it's brought more peace I believe that if you are peaceful with your partner you'll have a better relationship you'll have a better family better kids and all this kind of stuff because there's more peace you know we can't if you raise kids in stress what do you think's going to happen it's just a vicious cycle so um for those people it's definitely noticed a difference and when it comes to you know even me working with them I've I've got more energy for them I've got more energy to make content and put my stuff out um but it's just finding people that are willing to do that people think it's restrictive and I do understand that mindset because you say you have to give up this this this this and this instead of you saying I'm offering you your freedom if you want it people are scared to let go of what they know cuz again it's not safe they only want to go what's familiar cuz that's what the brain picks familiarity so sugar is safe because it's all I know but um if people are willing to go in the opposite direction of society I always say look at Society if you like what you see do what they do if you don't like what they see do not copy go the other direction I looked at what around and I said I don't want to participate in this clown show anymore so I'm out and I found the carnival diet because I find it ridiculous how we've been functioning for so many years it's it's a joke and and I don't wish to participate so yeah I notice a big difference especially for those who are willing to do it um but I think as well even people that watch my content you know they say oh you know you you you kind of make me want to be peaceful you kind of make me want to be better I'm like yeah cool I don't need plants so do you want to try that cuz they're like oh I watch your videos I can watching for hours you're so calm I'm like well I appreciate the compliment well how did you get there well some emotional healing and I don't eat plants and I don't eat sugar and I don't eat 90% of what most people eat so if you want this you can have it go and watch all the other carnivals on YouTube notice notice how calm they are watch like your watch one of your videos and then go watch a vegan's video of him slandering and slagging off people and criticizing and abusing and bullying other people cuz he's so freaking hungry he's become a a bully go watch him and then go watch you know your stuff and cber and how calm and satiated they are and tell me who you want to be more like yeah exactly there was um there was a guy um on Instagram and I I think it's um Brandon Carter and sort of goes by King keto or something like that and on on Instagram and he has a lot of different sort of like you know busy sort of things on there the guy's jacked he's like a sports model and um and he's still you know very good shape I think he's I think he's into his early 40s now still absolutely you know shredded and muscular and and he had this this video and he has he has sort of like this Persona he's he's a bit has that sort of that confidence cocky sort of thing but it's it's funny like he does it he does it well and um and he said that he's just like yeah you know I talk about you know the reason I do keto is because you know I'm getting I'm getting close to you know 40 and you know I just found this is the way that I can stay lean and muscular and have a lot of energy and all that sort stuff and he said you know people say that hey you know Brandon like I can't you know I could never give up carbs you know like I I just don't think I can do that I don't think I can do that like you do give up carbs like you do and he just said I do a lot of things that you can't do and the least impressive one of those things is not eating carbs you know I love that it's absolutely hilarious it's so true though well people I mean people really have to focus on what you're gaining and not what you're losing like really you're choosing a piece of bread what does bread taste like tastes like nothing you want you want that over like freedom and peace and health but it does give you like when you eat this way it does give you this feeling of being a superhuman like yeah you can't do what I do like you can't give up sugar and bread you're tied but I'm not so see you I'm going to go do what I got to do yeah yeah yeah it's really funny um great well thank you so much for that I think sort of I've kept you for two hours and sort of time's flown by I didn't realize that so I'm
